TXCSS 2023 Clinic: Korea’s Place in Teaching Social Studies

The World History Digital Education Foundation is thrilled to partner with the Texas Council for the Social Studies to offer several events related to Korea at TXCSS 2023.

1. Pre Conference Clinic: Korea’s Place in Teaching Social Studies

Thursday, October 26, 2023 – Requires Full Conference Registration
The six-hour pre-conference clinic is designed for 70 teachers on the new book Korea’s
Place in Teaching Social Studies which was co-published with NCSS. The rich history and culture of Korea coupled with important recent developments provide multiple opportunities to engage students. The curriculum book includes four modules that are each aligned with a different discipline of social studies including history, geography, economics, and civics. The modules are designed for a 9-12 audience, but they can easily be adapted for the middle school level.

Applying is simple– click this link to access the application form. Please read the Eligibility Requirements carefully because there are several required sessions.
