Bringing Korea into the Classroom
Georgette Hackman and Lisa Kissinger hosted a session, “Bringing Korea into the Classroom”, for practicing and pre-service teachers seeking to learn more about the importance of teaching about Korea in American classrooms. Participants, many of whom were elementary teachers, were interested in gathering more information about how to do this in a meaningful and respectful way.
Session Overview
Participants viewed a PowerPoint presentation and reviewed the resources available and offered by World History Digital Education and Korean War Veterans Digital Memorial. They were also treated to a variety of Korean snacks and pastries during the session.
